The Best of Brick Lane

24th June 2012
I did not take many photographs whilst in London recently but these are three that I like. The idea was to try and pose a question with each of them - a narrative that you can decide upon...

This A-board outside a café liked to be controversial in the hope of making people stop, look and hopefully enter. In this case to buy the only "drug" they actually sold - caffeine! However, you can place whatever story you like on it….

This was taken at the Geffrye Museum in Shoreditch. if you have never been, it is really worth a visit. It is housed in an old Almshouse and this photograph is of a gallery overlooking the garden, presumably for use on rainy days. What I liked about this shot is that as I took it I had the feeling that someone was just about to walk into it. I hope it conveys that.

Photo comment By Debbie Watkins: I really like the first one Lyle, there's a quiet intimacy about it.This last one has a lovely feel to it too - what an interesting looking space..
