As they say on those cheesy hair ads….here is the science bit:
These two macro shots were taken using a focus stacking technique. Each shot is a composite of different images each with a different focal point. The result is that they are sharp from front to back which would not be possible using a macro lens however large the f-stop or small the aperture.

That said, what I am trying to capture is the intrinsic beauty that is often hidden unless you look really, really closely. I hope you like them.

Photo comment By Debbie: These too are really great, such a variety of greens, shapes and textures. I alway use a macro lens for close ups ( I know very very little about photography!) so this layering technique seems interesting and it's wonderful how everything seems so clear.
