toe-toe in the sun

At the bottom of our garden are these beautiful New Zealand Toe-Toe; a member of the Cortaderia genus. Apparently the South American 'Pampas Grass' is an introduced species in NZ, and regarded there as a bit of a nuisance.

Anyway, the light was playing off the plumes today and I dashed out, making do with the lens that happened to be on the camera and not daring to change it in case the light disappeared (it was that kind of a day here today).

These are the results of my labours in the 'digital darkroom'.
